So who watched this on Channel 4 on Friday night? I hadn’t really intended to, but then I was struck down by the most violent cold I’ve had for a while, so I had no option but to guzzle smoothie and vegetate in front of our dinky little tellybox.

My initial thoughts? In no particular order: incredible opening titles; Maurice is my favourite (and most original) sitcom character for a long time; nothing like my office. Phew.

You can download Episodes 1 & 2 here.

  1. Those titles are amazing aren’t they? As for favourite character it has to be Jen as she is the spitting image of a mate’s girlfriend right down to the shoe obsession. Also the set is amazing, they’ve obviously spent a good while getting together all that accumulation of retro computers and general geek paraphernalia.

And you might be surprised just how many problems turning it off and on again solves…

  2. Hooray for The IT Crowd! I totally loved it too, thought it was so clever and confirms Chris Morris as a bit of a genius…Also instantly quotable - “four! five! fire!” Hope you’re feeling better Simon :)
