Keep on running…
Wednesday, July 19, 2006In a slightly rash move, I’ve just signed up to take part in the Nike 10K on October 8th. I’m on Team North (because we all know that North is best) and I’ll be in the second wave. Now I just have to get fit enough to actually run it…

AWESOME! If it’s for charity Si you have yourself your first sponsor.
Get training mate and it’ll pay off big stylee,

Good work. By my calculation you have 11 weeks before run itself, which is plenty of time to get the training in you need to, well, get in.
Now, as for that comment concerning the north of London, I’ll just put that down to the evident rashness that is apparently consuming you at the moment…

Yay! You’ll be fine Simon! It’s a while away and when you have a goal like that it’s easier, just get some good music on your iPod

Good for you, not sure I’ll be up to the 10K mark by that time (and it’s a bit far to travel) but I’m DEFINITELY North of the river…

I’m jealous! Maybe I’ll join you, although my history of 10k runs so far is hardly an encouraging thought… Grr injuries. Anyway, 10k is nothing, mate! Like running to the Askew, but with less 2-for-1 pizza at the end. Strewth!
