He did a 45 min stand up as warm up to the show and it was fantastic too, I was seriously impressed, not realizing he could do that, I had only known him as a presenter.

Sadly Amstell just does not seem to cut it, I don’t think he is that funny and his sarcasm seems more shield than witty, you know that kid that has to be the funniest otherwize the older boys will beat him up, but always takes it a little too far, and can’t understand why people don’t like him. The show with Amy Winehouse on it was the worst, I don’t know what he was trying to do, at one moment he is playing it as concerned friend, and the next sticking in the knife, undoubtably she is a state, I am all for biting humour, but that kind of humour is only funny when aimed at people secure enough to handle it, she was’nt and he expoited her.

Now that Bill Bailey has gone as well, the show is pretty much doomed as him and Lamarr were the reason I watched it. Jupitus will hang on like grim death becuase lets face it, once the show ends so does his career.
