Our cat Beany had to be put down today - he had feline leukemia. It was a bit of a shock, as he was only 9 years old. I never really expected to be this gutted about an animal dying, but he was an integral part of our family. Life won't be the same without having to remove the cat hairs from the piano stool every time I go home, or having him follow me up the road when I go out.
RIP Beany.

If you're in London this weekend then you could do lots worse than to head up to the Regent Street Festival tomorrow for randomness and chaos.
More importantly though if you head towards the BBC Stage at about 4.30pm (directly after The Tweenies...) you'll see Nine Dogs Deep, the band my housemate Ben is in. They're really very good indeed. Something tells me that once this weekend's over they'll have an enormous 4 to 8 year old fan base...
