  March 07, 2004 | Reading Half Marathon

At 8.30am, the team assembles to register. Piers would rather be asleep.

But John's looking cheerful as ever

So's Miriam

Perhaps because she knew she was going to have the chance to stick pins in me! Grr her.

And they're off!

Miriam looking fairly unexhausted after her leg

The running caterpillar!

Friar Street, which was where the camera stopped being passed from runner to runner, which was just as well because it escaped the impending sleetstorm...

And so the camera went with Miriam to the finish where she managed to take this picture of me finishing (I'm the one like an ant marked with a yellow arrow. My arms are slightly blue and completely numb, but you can't see that either)

Comments...
Well done Simon - rather you than me!

How tall are you now, Si? Seems like you've had a growth spurt. Anyway, you look yummy as ever.
